Outside My Comfort Zone

For this week I decided to create a much different pinch bag. I recently joined a blog group who adheres to Edgar Allen Poe's work. The blog is titled Quoth The Raven Nevermore. Because I joined, I felt I had to try and do something that recognized the author Poe.

Here's what I came up with.

I apologize for my photographing technique. It's late but I wanted to show how the bag looks like after being constructed.

The graphics used are from Ikesart. Ike is a friend whose talent goes way beyond the pale. I have seen her do macabre art, along with cute stuff that is filled with sweetness and light. GRIN.

Lil Stinker

Yes, I know...it's not Friday.

Would you believe yesterday (being Friday), I kept forgetting to slow down long enough to get my second free gift uploaded? Yep...and I have my cards to blame. I was so intent on finishing up some cards I'd started a while back but had to walk away from (there were many), that I let time get away from me.

Of course, when I remembered last night, I had already turned off the computer...not to mention I was totally pooped, and my eyes were shooting sparks. Then this morning, I attended an early writers' get-together...our goal... enter tags on our books on Amazon, in hopes of pulling in more readers. Authors always love new readers...hint, hint.

With that said, here is my second pinch bag for you to download. I've titled it Lil Stinker. Don't you just love the red color? I do.

A Valentine Free Gift

A Hundred Hearts

Since Christmas I have been double-darn busy. Mostly with family requirements. All during this time I felt there was a missing element my life. It caught up with me this afternoon.

I haven't offered a free gift on my blog for quite some time.

Well...I've taken care of that. Here is a gift.

It's a pinch bag. I love these things. They're great for holding all kinds of small gifts. Candy, little toys, gift cards, special surprises, etc. What's also awesome about these bags is you can store them in your computer for future valentine holidays. They won't take up space...or get lost under a pile of other paper gifts...and they're quick and easy to make.

Sooo...with that said...every Friday until February 14th, I'll offer a different Valentine's pinch Bag to save into your Valentine's Day Gift Folder.

Merry Christmas - My Gifts to You

Warmest Wishes To You

I had hoped to get these gifts to you much sooner than now. Like all of you, preparing for the holidays took precedence in getting some things done first. In case you need a set of quick gifts, these might be perfect for you to do up in a hurry.

Below is a Card Box Holder and a Pillow Box I made as my give-away gifts for a writing party I attended last week. Once I got home I decided to add another gift which is the pinch box. All are designed with the same theme.

Warmest Wishes Card Box

This Card Box I designed for myself. It holds 4.25 X 5.5 cards.
Not the usual 5 X 5 box.
If you would like to have the 4.25 X 5.5 box template let me know.

Pillow Box

Suggestion: Don't use an ulta-heavy cardstock for this gift.
If the paper is too thick it will be hard to fold and bend.

Pinch Box
Suggestion:
Attach Velcro underneath top flap to secure box closed.
To hang on tree, punch two holes (centered) along fold of of flap.
Insert a matching ribbon through holes and tie.
Printing: For a small box print in full page fax mode.
For larger box use the full page photo mode.

Santa Stop Here

Santa greetings everyone. Borqna is on a roll these days, informing me of contests to enter.

Thanks, Borqna. What fun.

Here is my next card I am going to enter. Yippeee!

I opted to send it to Pollycraft Monday Challenge. I've noticed there are tons of other cards entered. Some crafters have entered more than once. Me? I'm sticking to one per contest (reason? It's all I have time for-grin).

If you haven't noticed by now, a lot of my cards are using unusual Christmas colors. Don't ask me why, but the urge to do so has been fairly strong this year.

My snowman is another CuddlyBuddly digi stamp. The back ground paper is from DCWV Christmas & Winter 180 Stack. Copics were used for the coloring, except for his hat. I did a little digi-ing on it to make it look darker. The snowflakes were from punches: Martha Stewart's Alpine Snowflake and Marvy Uchida's small Snowflake. The bling I think I got from a local craft store.
